Notice of Extended Fair Hearings

EOCCO members have more time to ask for a hearing with the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) if you are denied a service between March 1, 2020 and the end of the national coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency. The end date of the national emergency is unknown right now. The federal government decides when the emergency ends.

If you do not agree with Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization about a denial of OHP services, you have the right to ask us for an appeal. We will review your request and send you a letter with our review. This letter is called a Notice of Appeal Resolution (NOAR).

You get more time to ask OHP for a hearing if you don’t agree with a review.

A hearing means the Oregon Health Plan will look at the review that Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization made and decide if it’s fair.

Before, you had 120 days from the “date of notice” on your NOAR letter to ask OHP for a hearing. Now, you have 240 days. You have more time now because of the national emergency.
