Behavioral health and the holidays: take care of yourself this season

The winter months and holidays can be hard for many people. This year might be even harder because of COVID-19. We are here to support you and your loved ones.

As a reminder, EOCCO members do not need a referral for behavioral health services, including mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.

Behavioral health emergencies

If you are having a behavioral health emergency and are in danger, call 911 or go to the emergency room.

Get help after an emergency, too. A behavioral health provider will help you get stable and improve your health.

Crisis resources

If you need crisis services, please call your local crisis number right away. For local 24-hour crisis phone numbers, check your local phone directory or search for your county mental health crisis number online. They can provide screenings and help you get the services you need.

You can find a list of local crisis hotlines and resources on our Crisis help page.

As a reminder to all EOCCO and Community Members:

  1. If you are sick, stay home.
  2. Wear a mask or face covering in public places.
  3. Keep a 6-foot physical distance.
  4. Wash your hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds.
  5. Do not touch your nose or mouth if you haven’t washed your hands first.
  6. If you think you have COVID-19, call your Primary Care Provider
