Air conditioners for warm summer months. When to request via HRSN versus HRS.

Summer is in full swing and each year EOCCO receives an incredibly high volume of requests for AC units once a heat wave has already hit. Similarly, EOCCO receives high volumes of air purifier requests when wildfires are already burning. This creates issues with our ability to review these requests in a timely manner as well as stores’ and distributors’ ability to fulfill them quickly, or at all.

EOCCO asks that if you have members who are in need whose household has not previously received an air conditioning unit or air purifier from EOCCO through HRSN or HRS/Flexible Services and expect to request one this summer that you submit these requests as soon as possible.

Please note: all climate devices (such as air conditioners and air purifiers/filters) must be considered through HRSN first. You may review the program and criteria here.

Please review every single request/member for HRSN first.

  • If they appear to be eligible, submit your request here.
  • If they do not fall into any of the covered populations, please include a note in your HRS/Flexible Services request that you have reviewed for HRSN coverage, and they are ineligible.

If you submit a request for an AC unit or air purifier/filter to HRS/Flexible Services and there is no indication that you have considered HRSN, it will be returned to you without review. Please share this information throughout your organization to ensure members are receiving the correct benefit consideration for climate devices.

EOCCO well visit survey and gift card raffle

Annual well care visits are an important part of preventative care for children and young adults. EOCCO is seeking feedback from providers and clinical staff about the barriers you and your patients experience in scheduling and completing annual well visits.

To help inform EOCCO's child wellness strategies for 3-6- and 7–21-year-old members, EOCCO is requesting that providers and staff at all clinics and organizations complete this Well-Care Visit Barriers Survey. Please share this survey with any representatives from your organization involved in scheduling, coordinating, and completing well care visits and other relevant services.

This survey asks providers and clinic staff about:

  1. Barriers faced by children and parents to scheduling and completing well visits
  2. Barriers faced by the clinic for assessments and Incentive Measure performance
  3. Support and improvement strategies for clinics and the CCO

Please click here to complete the survey by September 1, 2025. This survey will take around 10 minutes to complete.

Additionally, all who complete this survey can be entered into a drawing to win one of five available $20 Amazon Gift Cards!

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this survey! Please contact EOCCOmetrics@modahealth.com with any follow-up questions or concerns.
