News from EOCCO:

Help shape the new EOCCO website!

We’re working to improve the EOCCO website experience for the people, organizations and communities we serve. As part of this project, we’re inviting providers to share their experience with the website in a brief questionnaire.

Your feedback will give us insight into what’s working well, what challenges arise and how the website can better support providers, members and the community at large.

This survey is open to medical providers, clinic staff, social workers and any stakeholders who regularly support or assist EOCCO members and communities.

We kindly ask that your responses be submitted by Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Your participation will give us an important piece of the larger picture. We sincerely appreciate your time, thoughtful feedback and continued partnership in service EOCCO members and communities.

Reminder: Mail-order and in-network pharmacy options for EOCCO members

EOCCO would like to remind providers about helpful pharmacy resources available to EOCCO members, particularly those who may have limited access to local pharmacies or prefer the convenience of home delivery.

Mail-Order Pharmacy Services

EOCCO members have access to mail-order pharmacy services through Costco and Postal Prescription Services (PPS). These services allow members to have their medications delivered directly to their homes—an especially useful option for members in rural areas or those with transportation challenges.

To learn more or get enrolled, members can contact EOCCO Pharmacy Customer Service at 888-474-8539 (TTY/Oregon Relay 711). Additional details can also be found in the EOCCO Member Handbook on page 86.

Finding an In-Network Pharmacy

For members who are traveling or living outside their usual area, they can search for in-network pharmacies using the Navitus Member Portal. This tool helps ensure that prescriptions are filled at participating pharmacies, avoiding unexpected costs or delays.

We encourage providers to share these options with members who may benefit from mail-order convenience or need support filling prescriptions while away from home.

Air conditioners for warm summer months: When to request via HRSN versus Flexible Services

Summer is approaching and each year EOCCO receives a high volume of requests for AC units when the heat wave has already hit. This creates issues with the EOCCO HRSN team’s ability to review requests in a timely manner as well as stores’ and distributors’ ability to fulfill the requests.

This also occurs with air purifiers being requested once wildfires have begun. This creates the same issues as above as well as delivery issues as we frequently see road closures and other barriers to delivering these vital devices.

EOCCO asks providers to submit climate device requests for members who are in need (and have not previously received an air conditioning unit or air purifier from EOCCO through HRSN or HRS/Flexible Services) as soon as possible to prevent distribution and delivery delays.

Please note: All climate devices (such as air conditioners and air purifiers/filters) must be considered through HRSN first. You may review the program and eligibility criteria for more information.

  • If they appear to be eligible, submit your request there.
  • If they do not fall into any of the covered populations, please include a note in your HRS/Flexible Services request that you have reviewed for HRSN coverage and they are ineligible.

If you submit a request for an AC unit or air purifier/filter to HRS/Flexible Services and there is no indication that you have considered HRSN, it will be returned without review. Please contact EOCCO customer service at (888) 788-9821 if you have any questions.

Timely Access to Care survey is now live!

The EOCCO Timely Access to Care survey is now live! EOCCO continually strives to improve network adequacy and ensure members receive timely, appropriate care. Your participation in this biannual survey is greatly appreciated, as it helps us gather valuable information about:

  • Wait times to appointments
  • Access to care (including language access)
  • Triaging member concerns
  • Other member access needs

*Note: This survey will remain open until June 30, 2026*

Complete the survey today! At this time, we are only asking for primary care, specialist and urgent care clinics to complete this survey.

News from our partners:

Malheur County Family Connects Oregon update

Family Connects Oregon will be ceasing operations in Malheur County effective July 1, 2026. As a result, the program is no longer accepting referrals. EOCCO appreciates your past partnership and support in connecting families with these important services. Flexible services are still available for members who are in need of car seats. A Flexible Services Request form can be completed and submitted here. Please feel free to contact EOCCO customer service at 888-788-9821if you need assistance identifying alternative resources for the members and families you serve.

Federal changes impacting Oregon Health Plan (OHP)

In July 2025, the federal government passed the House Resolution 1 (HR1) budget bill. HR1 introduces significant changes to the Oregon Health Plan (OHP, also known as Medicaid).

Notably, the following changes will impact members:

  • Work, volunteer, or educational requirements for some members between ages 19 and 64 who do not have Medicare or qualify for OHP programs based on disability or pregnancy
  • More restrictive eligibility verification and more frequent Medicaid renewal requirements (also known as redeterminations)
  • Some care will require copayments beginning in October 2028
  • Changes to the Healthier Oregon Medicaid expansion (HOP) that will require OHA to transition members from HOP to OHP Open Card (also known as fee-for-service or traditional Medicaid) beginning January 2027

OHA continues to evaluate and plan for operationalizing the new federal rules and to keep OHP members covered, to the greatest extent possible. Here’s what OHP members should know now:

  • Work or activity requirements will not take effect until 2027 and will not affect all OHP members
  • More frequent renewals will take effect in 2027
  • Members should keep their contact information up to date with OHP
  • Members must report changes and respond to renewal letters in a timely manner

Providers and members can find updates to the upcoming changes on OHA’s OHP changes webpage.

New OHA-certified Health Care Interpreter Registry file posted

The May 2026 Oregon Health Authority Health Care Interpreter (HCI) Registry file has been posted to the EOCCO Incentive Measure webpage under “Meaningful Language Access”. This file contains a list of all active OHA certified or qualified health care interpreters in the state of Oregon. Files can be downloaded for your reference and records.
