News from EOCCO:
Introducing RECAP: Rural Eating Disorder Capacity & Access Program- interest form now open!
EOCCO is partnering with EDPEN (Eating Disorder Provider Education Network) to explore providing specialized eating disorder treatment training for our physical and behavioral health providers. The goal is to develop local interdisciplinary teams equipped to deliver high-quality outpatient care. With additional training, providers can intervene early, treating members effectively before their conditions escalate and require higher levels of care, which are often out-of-network or out-of-state.
We are currently identifying providers from both disciplines who are interested in participating in this initiative. If interested, please reach out directly to Sumner Brooks of EDPEN at sumner@edrdpro.com or click here to complete the RECAP interest form.
EOCCO Disease Management: Support between visits – at no cost
Managing a chronic condition doesn’t stop when the appointment ends. EOCCO’s Disease Management program supports patients between visits—at no cost to patients or providers—so members can build the knowledge, habits, and confidence to take control of their health.
Through one-on-one support, health coaches help patients strengthen day-to-day skills that make care plans easier to follow and provider visits more productive, including:
- Personalized education to fill knowledge gaps and improve adherence to care plans
- Guidance on establishing and maintaining health-promoting habits
- Help preparing for provider visits
- Strategies to navigate barriers to change, with a whole person focus that includes stress resilience and sleep quality
How to enroll: Encourage eligible patients to connect with a health coach to learn more and get started. Patients can call 800-913-4957 or email EOCCOhealthcoachteam@EOCCO.com.
Eligibility: EOCCO members who are living with one or more chronic health conditions.

News from our partners:
Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program
GOBHI’s Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program is growing to better support children and families across Eastern Oregon. After providing more than 8,000 hours of service in 2025, the program continues to see strong demand in 2026 across five counties. To meet this need, services have expanded into a new, larger space in downtown Baker City at 1829 Main Street, creating more room for families to access care. The ABA team is also growing. New staff, including three interns, were recently hired with more on the way. This continued expansion reflects GOBHI’s commitment to increasing access to high-quality, community-based support for youth and families. Please visit GOBHI’s ABA webpage to learn more about this impactful program.
Call for Presenters: 2026 Oregon Peer Workforce Conference
GOBHI is now accepting presenter proposals for the 2026 Oregon Peer Workforce Conference, taking place August 20–21, 2026, in Pendleton, Oregon. This year’s theme, “The Power of Us: Fostering Belonging,” centers on connection, inclusion, and the strength of shared lived experience in peer support. We welcome proposals from peer support specialists, providers, and community partners - especially those with lived experience - who can offer engaging, practical, and inspiring sessions. Topics may include mental health, addictions, family and youth support, and other areas that strengthen the peer workforce and promote belonging.
If you have knowledge, skills, or a story to share, we encourage you to submit a proposal and be part of this meaningful event. The deadline to submit presentation proposals is May 15, 2026. Click here to learn more and apply.
New federal rules for Oregon Health Plan (OHP)
In July 2025, the federal government passed the House Resolution 1 (HR1) budget bill, also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. HR1 requires big changes to Oregon Health Plan (OHP, also known as Medicaid).
Some adult OHP members will also need to confirm they are working, volunteering, attending school or exempt from requirements. These rules will apply to people between the ages of 19 and 64, who do not have Medicare or qualify for OHP programs based on disability or pregnancy. There are many reasons people can be exempt, such as caring for children under 14, or having serious or complex medical needs. The federal government has not provided all the details about these exemptions yet.
OHA is in the planning stages of how to put new federal rules into place and keep people covered, to the greatest extent possible. Here’s what OHP members should know now:
- Work or activity requirements will not take effect until 2027 and will not affect all OHP members
- Please keep your contact information current
- Continue to report changes and respond to renewal letters
We know that people are eager to have all the details about the changes ahead. The federal government hasn’t relayed all the specifics yet and they are not scheduled to do so until June 2026. In the meantime, OHA will continue to share information.
How to stay informed & find more information:
- Visit the OHP member page about federal changes
- Follow any of OHA’s social media channels:
- Instagram: @OregonHealthAuthority
- Facebook (English)
- Facebook (Spanish)
